The MBA Council shall be the working body of the DGSS between General Meetings. The executives shall be the officers of the DGSS, and be elected annually by the members of the Society. The executives shall hold office from December 16th of this year until December 15th of the following year. The executive council is comprised of six full-time students and three part-time student, each filling the respective role of President, Vice-President Finance, Vice-President Communications, Vice-President Internal, Vice-President External, Vice-President Clubs and International, and Vice-President Professional MBA. In addition every fall, one Representative of the MBA1 will be elected by the first year class to serve until the end of that term, that is December 15th.

PRESIDENT – Josué Bravo

Josue Bravo

Josué is a Venezuelan MBA candidate pursuing a concentration in Global Strategy & Leadership. He holds a Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering, a Masters degree in Advance Project Management and a PMP certification. Josue has 6+ years of professional international experience across south America that combines positions like technical IT sales, field engineer and project manager in the oil & gas industry and strategy consultant in the IT industry. VP COMMUNICATIONS – Jordan Black

Jordan Black

Jordan is pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Finance. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Honours Linguistics from Concordia University in Montreal and a Master’s in Philology and Comparative Linguistics from the University of Oxford. After graduating he founded a start-up in China and spent time travelling in Europe and Asia before returning home. He is now looking to pursue a career in banking. VP FINANCE – Ray Torikian

Ray Torikian


Ray has an engineering background with a Master’s degree in mining engineering from McGill University. He decided to pursue an entrepreneurial path and joined a medical services firm in 2010 where he launched the firm’s engineering consulting services division at the age of 22. As a consultant, he has advised large mining, manufacturing, and distribution companies on health and safety risks and best practices. He has also testified in provincial administrative courts as an expert witness for cases involving employee compensation claims in excess of $1M. In January 2015, he was promoted to the VP Operations where his day to day focused on business development. His team expanded the company’s product line and he was responsible for writing the company’s first patent application. Having discovered a new passion for business, he went on to pursue his MBA at McGill University in late 2016 and is currently pursuing a concentration in Finance and Strategy. VP CLUBS AND INTERNATIONAL – Vijay Ganeshan

Vijay Ganeshan

Vijay was born and raised in a small town in Tamilnadu, India and is pursuing an MBA with a dual concentration – Marketing and Global Strategy & Leadership. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Azhagappa Chettiar College of Engineering (in another small town in Tamilnadu, India), he went on to work with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for 7.5 years before deciding to pursue an MBA. At TCS, he had the opportunity to work on a variety of roles in IT services for banks and his last role prior to MBA was in Delivery Excellence & Risk Management. His work experience in different geographies both within India and in the UK has led to the evolution of his character. Irrespective of his schedules, he loves to play video games, watch movies, and talk to people. His other interests are painting, sculpting and badminton. VP INTERNAL – Amy Dumoulin

Amy Dumoulin

Amy is a 2018 MBA candidate, focusing on Global Strategy & Leadership. She was born and raised in Toronto, but has been loving the Montreal life since starting her MBA at McGill. Amy holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a focus in Marketing from McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. Upon graduation, she joined Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP where she worked for three years in Marketing and Communications. Following that, she joined Torys LLP where she continued to focus on Marketing-oriented projects and was also exposed to strategy development and implementation. Amy speaks English and is taking advantage of her time in Montreal to get in touch with her French-Canadian roots and brush up on her French. VP EXTERNAL – Walid Awad

Walid Awad


Walid grew up in Lebanon and moved in 2007 to Montreal to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Economics at McGill University. His interest in the food industry then led him to complete a Master’s degree in Food Science at McGill University. The knowledge he accumulated allowed him to become the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager at NaturSource Inc., a food manufacturer in Montreal. During his experience, he implemented new procedures to achieve new quality and operational standards and reduce customer complaints. He also worked closely with the Marketing & Sales departments to develop new products such as Gluten-Free and GMO-free recipes. Soon enough, he realized that if he further developed his managerial skills, he could blend scientific knowledge and business acumen to make an even bigger impact, hence his decision to pursue an MBA. MMF REPRESENTATIVE 2017 – Mostafa Barakat


Mostafa is originally Egyptian and was raised in 4 different countries in the Middle East and North America. He decided to do a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from McGill University. Prior to graduation he did an internship at Suncor Energy, and then worked at Schlumberger as a graduate Field Engineer. With his original interest in finance and investing, he is currently pursuing a Masters of Management in Finance and hopes to leverage his Oil & Gas engineering experience and finance to build his next career path. VP PROFESSIONAL MBA 2017 – Stefanie Chanelle Kutteh

Stefanie is pursuing her MBA part-time through Desautels Faculty of Management’s Professional MBA program (Class of 2017). After completing a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in 2009, Stefanie began working at Bell Canada. She has since held 4 different roles in the organization and currently works as a Pricing Offer Strategy Analyst in the Bell Residential Services division. During her free time Stefanie is a fitness addict and running aficionado, having completed 12 half marathons (and counting…) in her running career. VP PROFESSIONAL MBA 2018 – Mariama Dupuis-Sene

Mariama Dupuis-Sene


Mariama is pursuing her MBA part-time through Desautels Faculty of Management’s Professional MBA program (Class of 2018). After completing a Bachelor of International Studies and Political Science from McGill University in 2010 as well as a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from HEC Montréal, Mariama transitioned from healthcare services management, began working at L’Équipe Spectra/Evenko where she has been for the past 2.5 years and currently works as a Financial Project Manager. VP PROFESSIONAL MBA 2018 – Kally Kastionitis

Kally is pursuing her MBA part-time through Desautels Faculty of Management’s Professional MBA program (Class of 2018). After completing a Bachelor degree of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Montreal as well as a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from HEC Montréal, Kally started working at Standard Life (now Manulife, through an acquisition). She has held three roles in the organization and currently works as a Presale Marketing Consultant in the Group Benefits division. In her free time, Kally enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, volunteering with different organizations, and event planning.
