McGill MBA Latin-American Club is a student organization open to all McGill MBA students who are interested in the Latin-American culture. The main goal of the club is to share the Latin-American culture at McGill and enhance the MBA experience of its members by building a supportive network. During the year the club organizes social events (dinners to Latin restaurants, Latin parties, salsa classes) and professional events (speaker series, language exchange, information about job opportunities in Latin-American companies, etc.).

Spanish Classes: From February 16th to March 23rd the LATAM club gave Spanish classes to the MBA students interested in learning this language. The course was given by Professor Nelly Gomez, professional professor with a Master’s Degree in Hispanic Studies from University of Montreal.
Speakers Panel: Leveraging on your multicultural background to break into the North American professional market. On March 19th, the LATAM club invited three speakers from Operations, Marketing, and IT Strategy to give insights to MBA students on how foreigners can design a career plan to break into the North American professional marketplace. The speakers were Nicolas Duran – COO at Dorel; Hector Rodriguez – Global Marketing Manager for Sea Doo PWC at Bombardier Recreational Products; and Jorge Flores – VP Development Support at SAP Labs. The panel was hosted by Professor Omar Toulan.
